Kodi is a great media center application, but it’s not always convenient to have it taking up your whole screen. If you have a second monitor, you can move Kodi over to that screen and free up some space on your primary display. Here’s how to do it.
First, open up the Kodi settings by clicking on the gear icon in the top-right corner of the screen. Then, click on the “System” option.
In the “System” settings, click on the “Display” option in the left sidebar. On the right side of the screen, you’ll see a “Display Mode” drop-down menu. Select the “Windowed” option from this menu.
Now that Kodi is in windowed mode, you can simply click and drag the Kodi window to your second monitor. You can resize the window to fit your second monitor, or you can leave it in its current size and have Kodi play in a small window on your second monitor.
If you want to go back to having Kodi take up your whole screen, simply open up the Kodi settings again and change the “Display Mode” back to “Fullscreen.”
