How to enable monitor speakers windows 7

If you have ever wanted to use your computer’s speakers as a second monitor, you may have been disappointed to find that there is no built-in way to do this in Windows 7. However, there is a workaround that will allow you to use your computer’s speakers as a second monitor. Here’s how:

  1. First, open the Control Panel and go to Hardware and Sound.
  2. Next, click on Manage audio devices under Sound.
  3. In the window that opens, go to the Playback tab and find your computer’s speakers in the list of devices. Right-click on the speakers and select Set as Default Device.
  4. Now, go to the Recording tab and find your microphone in the list of devices. Right-click on the microphone and select Set as Default Device.
  5. Next, go back to the Hardware and Sound Control Panel and click on Change system sounds under Sound.
  6. In the window that opens, go to the Sounds tab and scroll down to the section labeled Windows Explorer. Under Windows Explorer, find the sound labeled Start Navigation and click on it. In the drop-down menu, select (None).
  7. Now, go to the Start menu and type “regedit” into the search box. Press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
  8. In the Registry Editor, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelSound.
  9. In the right pane, find the value named PlaybackDevice and double-click on it. In the window that opens, delete the value that is currently in the Value data field and type in the value “\.DISPLAY1”.
  10. Click OK and close the Registry Editor. You will now be able to hear audio from your computer’s speakers when you play audio or video on your second monitor.

Keep in mind that this workaround will only work if you have a second monitor connected to your computer. If you do not have a second monitor, you will not be able to hear any audio from your computer’s speakers.
