How to Drag Your Screen to a Second Monitor

Do you have a second monitor that you want to use as an extension of your primary display? Or maybe you want to use a projector as a second monitor for a presentation. Whatever the reason, Windows makes it easy to add a second monitor to your computer.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. First, make sure that your second monitor is turned on and connected to your computer. If it’s not, do that now.
  2. Next, open the Display settings. You can do this by right-clicking on the desktop and selecting Display settings from the menu, or you can go to Settings > System > Display. If you’re using a projector, you may need to select the Duplicate or Extend option from the Multiple displays drop-down menu.
  3. Once the Display settings are open, you should see your second monitor listed under Select and rearrange displays. If you don’t see it, click the Detect button.
  4. Once your second monitor is detected, you can click and drag it to rearrange the order of your displays. The primary display will be listed first, followed by the secondary display. You can also use the Resolution drop-down menus to change the resolution of each display.
  5. When you’re finished, click the Apply button to save your changes.

And that’s all there is to it! Now you can use your second monitor as an extension of your primary display. If you have any questions, feel free to post them in the comments below.
