How to Connect iPad Pro to a Monitor

The iPad Pro is a great device for productivity, but when you need a little more screen real estate, you can connect it to an external monitor. Here’s how.

First, you’ll need a compatible cable. The iPad Pro uses a USB-C connector, so you’ll need a cable that has a USB-C connector on one end and an HDMI connector on the other. You can find these cables online or at your local electronics store.

Once you have the cable, simply connect one end to the iPad Pro and the other end to the monitor. The iPad Pro will automatically detect the external display and adjust the resolution to match.

You can use the iPad Pro in portrait or landscape orientation, and you can even use the Apple Pencil on the external display. Just keep in mind that the iPad Pro’s battery will drain faster when connected to an external display.

If you want to disconnect the iPad Pro from the monitor, just press the Home button on the iPad Pro. The display will revert back to the iPad Pro’s built-in display.
