How to Connect a Lenovo Laptop to a Dell Monitor (With Pictures)

If you have a Lenovo laptop and a Dell monitor, you may be wondering how to connect the two. It’s actually quite simple, and in this article we’ll show you how to do it with pictures.

First, you’ll need to gather a few things:

  • Your Lenovo laptop
  • Your Dell monitor
  • An HDMI cable
  • A VGA cable
  • An adapter (if your laptop doesn’t have an HDMI port)

Once you have all of those things, you’re ready to get started.

Step 1: Connect the HDMI Cable

If your Lenovo laptop has an HDMI port, simply connect one end of the HDMI cable to the port, and then connect the other end to the HDMI port on your Dell monitor.

If your Lenovo laptop does not have an HDMI port, that’s okay – you can still connect your laptop to the monitor. We’ll show you how in Step 2.

Step 2: Connect the VGA Cable

If your Lenovo laptop does not have an HDMI port, you’ll need to use a VGA cable. Simply connect one end of the VGA cable to the monitor, and then connect the other end to the VGA port on your laptop.

You may also need to use an adapter, depending on the type of VGA port your laptop has. If you’re not sure, consult your laptop’s documentation.

Step 3: Turn on Your Monitor

Once you have the cable(s) connected, go ahead and turn on your monitor.

Step 4: Turn on Your Laptop

Now it’s time to turn on your laptop. Once it’s booted up, you should see your laptop’s display on the monitor.

Step 5: Adjust the Settings

If everything looks good, great! If not, you may need to adjust the settings on your laptop and/or monitor. Consult your documentation for more information.

And that’s it!

You should now have your Lenovo laptop connected to your Dell monitor. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below and we’ll do our best to help.
