If you’ve ever wondered what your monitor’s refresh rate is, or if you’re looking to change it, Windows 10 makes the process pretty simple. Here’s how to check and change your monitor’s refresh rate in Windows 10.
First, right-click on your desktop and select Display Settings.
In the Display Settings window, click on the Advanced Display Settings link.
In the Advanced Display Settings window, you should see your monitor’s current refresh rate listed under the Monitor Settings section. If you don’t see the refresh rate listed, click on the Identify link.
Once you know your monitor’s current refresh rate, you can change it by clicking on the Advanced Settings link.
In the Advanced Settings window, scroll down to the Monitor Settings section and click on the Screen Refresh Rate drop-down menu. From here, you can select the refresh rate you want to use. If you’re not sure what refresh rate to use, 60Hz is generally a good starting point.
Once you’ve selected the refresh rate you want to use, click Apply and then OK to save your changes. Your monitor should now be using the new refresh rate.
