If you’re like me, you love your MacBook. But you also love your external monitor. So what do you do when you want to use your MacBook on your external monitor, but you don’t want to keep your MacBook open all the time?
Here’s a simple solution:
- Connect your MacBook to your external monitor.
- Open System Preferences on your MacBook.
- Click on “Energy Saver”.
- Check the box next to “Prevent computer from sleeping automatically when display is off”.
- Close your MacBook.
- Enjoy your external monitor!
Now, every time you close your MacBook, it will stay on your external monitor. And when you’re done using your external monitor, just uncheck the box in Energy Saver and your MacBook will go to sleep like normal.
