We the Dell Ultrasharp U2719DX so that it could be thoroughly tested and evaluated by our expert reviewer. have a look at our recently published blog post, Best Gaming Monitors Under $400. Choosing a new monitor is a complicated and important process. We spend so much time in front of screens, both for work and leisure, that we must invest proportionally in our portals to the digital world.
However, a monitor is such a utilitarian device that purchasing one seems like a chore, and many of us tend to avoid spending as much on it as on flashier devices. You may be surprised to learn that there is a monitor that not only offers great image quality but is actually an exciting technology. As tested the Dell Ultrasharp U2719DX, a monitor that is beautiful enough to make you change the way you view your screen.
For a 27-inch monitor, the Dell Ultrasharp U2719DX gets quite slim thanks to a profile width of just 6.5mm at the edge and exceptionally thin bezels. Dell calls this an “infinity display” and makes this monitor ideal for use in dual monitor setups. We found that it fits well when used in conjunction with a different monitor, and its 1440p resolution is useful for combining with a variety of monitors. We put it between a 1080p and a 4K 2160p display, it worked well with either.
The stand and base have a minimalist design that gives this display a unique and professional appearance. A cutout in the bracket allows cables to be elegantly routed out of sight and not left hanging directly behind the display. Every part, from the screen to the stand to the base, feels durable and is built to last.
This is a highly adjustable monitor: tilting, rotating, or even turning it to portrait orientation is made simple and intuitive thanks to the robust hinge mechanism. Height adjustment is also a breeze, as you only need to apply gentle pressure in the desired direction. On initial startup, the monitor allowed us to select from multiple languages for its menu system.
The menu system itself is intuitive and cleverly displayed. Simply touch any of the navigation buttons located below the lower right corner of the screen and icons for input, color selection, and the main menu will appear. Navigation is clearly indicated within the various menus, and we were able to immediately find what we needed and make adjustments without having to deal with a steep learning curve.
Best budget office monitor: ASUS ProArt display PA278QV
Main key features
- Size 27 “
- Resolution 2560×1440
- Maximum refresh rate 75 Hz
Pixel type IPS
- Variable refresh rate
- Brand ASUS
- Series PA278QV
- Item model number PA278QV
- Item Weight 17 pounds
- Product Dimensions 24.21 x 15.04 x 8.9 inches
- Item Dimensions LxWxH 24.21 x 15.04 x 8.9 inches
- Color BLACK
The best office monitor in the budget category we’ve tested is the ASUS ProArt Display PA278QV. It is an older version of ASUS ProArt Display PA278CV but without USB-C input, which explains its cheaper price. It also has a 27-inch screen with a 1440p resolution and a 75Hz refresh rate. Viewing angles are excellent, meaning the image remains accurate when viewed from the side, and becomes bright enough to combat glare, even in well-lit environments.
If you often struggle to get into a comfortable viewing position, the good news is that the ergonomics are great. You can adjust the height, tilt, and pain, as well as rotate the screen to portrait mode. Text clarity is decent and color accuracy is good right out of the box.
Unfortunately, even though it’s designed for content creators, it doesn’t actually have full sRGB coverage, which is somewhat disappointing. As mentioned, there is no USB-C input, but you still get four USB 3.0 and one USB-B upstream port, so you can connect your peripherals or dongles directly to the monitor.
Lastly, it has great response time, low input lag, and VRR support if you want to play some games. Overall, this is a versatile monitor that should please most people. If you can spend a bit more and can find one, it’s best to go for the newer version, but this is still a good alternative if you’re on a tighter budget.

If you are looking for a new monitor to upgrade, you should check out this HP Z24N G2 review. The HP Z24N G2 is a beautiful display with a simplistic look. The 24-inch screen is large enough to have multiple projects open and many windows open at the same time, making the HP Z24N G2 the ideal monitor for project work and everyday practical use.
Considering that the HP Z24N G2 is an IPS panel, it will have color accuracy, image clarity, and foundation, and this gives creatives and producers a slight edge when it comes down to imaging work. So, before investing in the HP Z24N G2, let’s discuss the specifications, design, performance, and features of the monitors.
The HP Z24N G2 Display has a simple but elegant design for the built set. With a bezel-less design, you can enjoy your games and multimedia without distraction. And with the monitors’ beautiful overall matte black finish, you’ll have a great, stylish-looking monitor that you can love when you walk into your room or office.
In addition, the stand serves as an excellent base for the monitor and is ergonomically constructed. And you can adjust the screen height, swivel, swivel, and tilt the monitor according to your viewing convenience. The I / O panel is located at the rear right of the display.
The I / O ports consist of a DisplayPort 1.2, a DisplayPort output, an HDMI 1.4, three USB 3.0, two USB-C, a DVI-DLx, and an audio jack output.I / O ports: 1x DisplayPort 1.2, 1x DisplayPort Out, 1x HDMI 1.4, 3x USB 3.0, 2x USB-C, 1x DVI-Dlx, 1x audio jack. Thanks to its HDMI port, you can also connect your game consoles like your PS4, Xbox One, or your classic SNES.
And you can also invest in an HDMI switcher and connect various electronic devices to the display. And with the USB ports, you can connect your mobile phones and other electronic devices to your monitor and use the display as a charging station, too. Considering that the HP Z24N is an IPS panel, this monitor can achieve a contrast of 890: 1, which is quite high for an IPS panel.
Unfortunately, there are no speakers for this monitor, but it will be much better with a dedicated pair of speakers or headphones. And HP also sells a soundbar. However, they are not included in the display. The HP Z24N G2 has a resolution of 1920 × 1200, with a refresh rate of 60 Hz and a response time of 5 ms.
The 60Hz refresh rate won’t be ideal if you’re a competitive gamer. You will need higher refresh rates such as 144Hz to 240Hz refresh rates. The screen has a standard 16:10 screen aspect ratio, which is fine, and you’ll have enough screen real estate to have multiple windows open and work on multiple projects at the same time.
With a contrast ratio of 1000: 1 and a brightness level of 3000 cd / m², you will have a wide range of contrast and you will also have to dim the brightness because it will become too bright. Also, the monitor has a 100% sRGB gamut and will have the necessary color accuracy.
The image and pixels are sharp and well detailed. Thanks to its 94 PPI, you can see text and images in a very sharp and detailed way. When running a graphics-intensive program, the display uses less GPU power, which is great because it will work well with a moderate to impressive GPU.
This IPS panel is ideal for creatives, producers, and graphic designers for its color accuracy and image clarity. The HP Z24N is not recommended for competitive gaming and gamers due to low screen refresh rates and longer response times. And its high 40ms input lag isn’t ideal for general gaming.
If you were expecting the FreeSync and G-Sync functions, the HPZ24N does not have these functions, so you will not be able to experience the smooth functions during the game. However, for content producers and creatives, this monitor will do well.
Samsung Odyssey G5 LC27G55T Gaming Monitor 32-Inch
Main Key features
- Standing screen display size 32 Inches
- Max Screen Resolution 2560 x 1440 Pixels
- Brand SAMSUNG
Item model number LC32G55TQWNXZA
- Item Weight 16.87 pounds
- Product Dimensions 5.35 x 27.96 x 17.3 inches
- Item Dimensions LxWxH 5.35 x 27.96 x 17.3 inches
- Color Black
- Voltage 100240 Volts
- Manufacturer Samsung
The Samsung Odyssey G5 LC27G55T is a good budget gaming monitor with a resolution of 1440p. It is best suited for a dark to moderately lit room as it has a high contrast ratio to produce deep blacks but does not get bright enough to overcome intense glare. It has a fast response time, high refresh rate, and low input lag, resulting in a smooth and responsive gaming experience. Besides that, it has FreeSync support and G-SYNC compatibility.
Unfortunately, it has below-average viewing angles and terrible ergonomics, so it’s not the best choice for cooperative gaming or content sharing. Also, although it supports HDR, it has a low maximum brightness and cannot display a wide color gamut. The Samsung Odyssey G5 is a good gaming monitor. It has a large, high-resolution screen, ideal for playing atmospheric games like role-playing games.
Movement handling is good as it has a high refresh rate and fast response time so fast movement looks clear and buttery smooth. Its input lag is exceptionally low and it supports variable refresh rate technology to reduce screen tearing. Sadly, it has terrible ergonomics and below-average viewing angles, making it not the best choice for cooperative gaming.
Samsung included its gaming-style OSD in the 32-inch Odyssey G5. At the top, you can always see the black EQ setting, the response time (overdrive), refresh rate, Adaptive-Sync status (supports G-Sync or FreeSync), and low input lag settings. All options come with six submenus. Out of the box, the Samsung LC32G55TQWNXZA comes set to its custom picture mode, with all picture controls intact. Even with some adjustments, the excellent image quality and accuracy may not really improve.
Perhaps the only thing you can change is the sharpness slider, which you may need to reduce to eliminate the slight ringing effect of the monitor. In HDR mode, you can adjust the brightness, maybe maximize it, and set Local Dimming to Auto for a great HDR picture. All ports are located on the rear: an HDMI, DisplayPort, USB 3.0 (for service), and a 3.5mm audio jack that supports powered headphones or speakers. The monitor does not have built-in speakers.
The extreme curve of the Samsung Odyssey G5 is a major asset, not only when it comes to gaming, but for general use as well. While a screen with a 21: 9 or 32: 9 bezel will cover the user’s peripheral vision, even more, the height of a 32-inch monitor really brings it closer while providing a natural view of daily tasks. You can place documents on the center screen while balancing the utilities on the sides. In fact, you can view an entire page in a word processor or 60 rows in a spreadsheet.
For gaming, you will hardly find fault with the gaming performance of the 32-inch Odyssey G5. Both AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync compatibility work equally well, running at 144Hz with HDR via the DisplayPort input. The Tomb Raider hits 139 frames per second (fps) multiple times with sustained speeds around 135 fps. To that, add super-fast panel response and you have fluid movements and input lag completely artifact-free. Its other sibling, the Samsung Odyssey G7 maxes out at a frame rate of 240Hz, and on both monitors that extra height really draws it into the game.
When you turn on HDR, you get a rare treat. Samsung’s ultra-curved monitor does HDR really well, with effective selective dimming. You may not easily see the light level change in practice, but you will definitely see the additional dynamic range. Its blacks are very deep and well detailed, and the reflections stand out, thanks to the high maximum brightness.
However, the speeds stayed around 129 fps with peaks at 132 fps. Samsung Odyssey G5 (LC32G55TQWNXZA) front. The 32-inch Odyssey G5 is designed primarily as a gaming monitor, but after a few days of interaction, you will find that it is more versatile than the typical ultra-wide screen. And its extreme curve only enhances, never detracts from, the immersive gaming or productivity experience.
If you are looking for a perfect big screen, the Samsung Odyssey G5 will easily excite your view and enhance your gaming experience. It has a rare 1000R curve and its high height immerses you in the gaming environment, and the 1440p resolution offers plenty of detail and high frame rates.
From what you get, Samsung’s list price is very decent. And, with performance that truly rivals the fastest monitors As per test and image quality that rivals premium gaming monitors, the 32-inch Samsung Odyssey G5 (LC32G55TQWNXZA) is in a class of its own. It is indeed an extreme monitor, but the most important fact is that it is an incredibly good monitor in all respects.

The $ 329.99 Dell 27 Monitor (P2719H) is a moderately priced, capable business display. Its ergonomically friendly stand allows you to adjust the panel for maximum comfort. Connectivity abounds; you get a host of ports in the DisplayPort, HDMI, USB, and VGA families. The native resolution of this monitor is low for its screen size, and its color accuracy is average, but it should be fine for general office use. In short, this is a solid but unspectacular pick for office work on a spacious screen.
The P2419H panel is housed in a matte black frame attached to a bracket on a rectangular base. While the bottom bezel is wide (0.8 inches), the top and side bezels are very thin (0.23 inches). The stand supports height, tilt, swivel, and pivot control. With the stand in place, the P2719H is reasonably compact for its screen size, measuring 15.5 by 24 by 7.3 inches (HWD) and weighing 19.9 pounds. The stand takes up little space (9.5 by 7.5 inches) and feels sturdy enough. You can pass the cables through the circular hole in the stand column to keep them under control.
The panel has a nominal brightness of 300 cd / m2 (nits), although it only reached 169 nits as per the test. It with a Murideo SIX-G signal generator, a Klein K10-A colorimeter, and SpectraCal CalMAN 5 software. Its nominal contrast is 1000: 1, typical for a flat-switched monitor (IPS). Like its little brother, the Dell P2419H, the P2719H has a native resolution of 1080p (1,920 by 1,080 pixels).
However, while 1080p is still a typical resolution for 24-inch commercial monitors, most 27-inch panels, including Editors’ Choice’s ViewSonic VP2768, have been downgraded to a native resolution of WQHD (2,560 by 1,440 pixels). . That said, 1080p should be more than adequate for business use with a 27-inch monitor unless your job involves editing photos, working with intricate graphics or video, or handling really gigantic spreadsheets. If you don’t need the highest resolution, there is no point in paying more for it.
Typical gray-to-gray pixel response is 8 milliseconds, although it can be as fast as 5 milliseconds. The input lag, measured with a Leo Bodnar delay tester, was a very good 10.1 milliseconds, just slightly longer than the BenQ SW2700PT ($ 599.00 at Amazon), which is still our leader with input lag. 9.5 milliseconds. Although the P2719H ($ 359.99 at Dell) isn’t designed to be a gaming monitor, it did run Rise of the Tomb Raider and its benchmark sequence with minimal artifacts. However, the contrast was poor throughout the reference sequence and the colors lacked vibrancy.
The P2719H has a large number of ports: two HDMI 1.4 ports, a DisplayPort 1.2 connector, a VGA port, and four USB ports, two of them USB 2.0 and the other two USB 3.0. The USB 3.0 ports are conveniently oriented to the sides, while the other ports extend along the back of the monitor, downward. Fortunately, the monitor is sturdy enough that it is easy to turn on its side, or even upside down, to plug it in. (A version of the monitor due out in a few months, the P2719HC, will add USB-C support for around $ 50 extra.)
On the right edge of the lower bezel are five small control buttons.
The rightmost and largest of the five is an on / off button, while the others help you navigate the monitor’s on-screen display (OSD) menu system. The main menu allows you to control functions such as brightness and contrast (using sliders controlled by arrow buttons), input source, color, and aspect ratio. Another menu allows you to access the default modes, including Standard, Comfortable View, Movie, Game, Warm, Cool, and Custom Color. The latter allows you to set your own levels of red, blue, and green with sliders.
Color accuracy out of the box is fair, as shown in the chromaticity chart below. The monitor has been tested the panel in Standard mode and as you can see some of my color measurements (represented by the colored dots) are well aligned with their ideal CIE coordinates (represented by the boxes), while others are slightly off. When watching movies in Movie mode, the reds and blues tended to look unsaturated. The colors in the photos looked decent.
The monitor’s viewing angles, both from the side and from above, were wide, typical for an IPS panel, with no noticeable dimming or color shift, even at extreme off-center angles. We measured the P2719H’s power consumption at 23 watts in standard color mode, a typical reading for its screen size. That’s slightly more efficient than the Dell 27 Ultrathin Monitor (S2719DM) ($ 379.99 at Dell), which drew 25 watts in its standard default mode. The power consumption of the ViewSonic VP2768 ($ 379.99 at Amazon) varied widely between modes: 28 watts in standard ECO mode, 23 watts in Optimize mode, and 18 watts in Conserve mode.
Many of today’s commercial monitors come with nifty features like high native resolution and accurate color calibration settings. For certain types of work, extras like these are desirable, but they add to the price of a monitor, sometimes a lot. The Dell 27 Monitor (P2719H) has a more modest feature set, priced to match. It still provides highly adjustable support (four-dimensional modifiable), as well as a good selection of ports.
Graphics professionals should look for a model like our Editors’ Choice ViewSonic VP2768, with its stellar color and grayscale precision, and color correction capabilities. Cash-strapped offices, or those wanting to pay for nothing more than they actually need, should consider the Dell 27 Monitor (P2719H) for its variety of ports, ergonomically gifted stand, and solid performance overall at a moderate price.

Combined with its amazing proclivity for eliminating any input lag, the 27UK650-W is a worthy investment that you’d be wise to consider. Mostly pro gamers like the wide viewing angles, too. This is a great feature for those who like to have some friends over for side-by-side competitive action. When you factor in the sharp resolution, the 27UK650-W is a gamer’s dream come true.
As darling as this monitor is, there are a couple of things you should take into account. Playing in pitch-black environments makes the display’s lack of quality black levels really apparent. Blacks appear rather gray, detracting from certain games’ presentations. You also won’t notice much of a difference in HDR. I found it was best to stick with HDMI, as colors look much better.
Still, if you don’t mind the occasional gray misrepresentation, LG’s 27UK650-W is a solid gaming monitor that won’t disappoint. It’s dropped in price in recent months, too, making this a great buy. Excellent visuals.Great contrast, Vivid colors, Borderless. The stand could be stronger.
